Browser Be Gone See Web Only

Teknozip – In a world saturated with feature-packed browsers, Vivaldi has unveiled a novel approach with its latest 7.9 release. Instead of piling on more functionalities, Vivaldi is offering users the option to strip away the browser itself, leaving only the content.

For those who appreciate the power of modern web applications but find themselves overwhelmed by the visual clutter of toolbars and menus, Vivaldi 7.9 introduces a UI Auto-hide feature that promises a cleaner, more immersive browsing experience.

According to Vivaldi’s official blog, version 7.9’s highlight is the ability to remove all user interface (UI) elements, effectively creating a full-screen mode for every webpage.

"Every browser ships with a tab bar, an address bar, a status bar, and assorted toolbars. They are essential. They also take up space. Vivaldi 7.9 solves this with UI Auto-hide: enable it, and the entire interface steps aside while you read, watch, or work. Move your cursor to any edge of the screen and everything reappears instantly. Move away, and the content takes over again."

The level of customisation is impressive. Users can choose which elements to hide, retaining the address bar, for example, while concealing everything else. Activating the feature is as simple as pressing Alt + F10 or Ctrl + F11, instantly decluttering the screen.

Vivaldi 7.9 also introduces other enhancements, including the ability to open links as "Follower Tabs". This opens a new tab beside the current one, preventing tab overload when exploring multiple links within an article. Additionally, Vivaldi Mail can now be opened in a separate window, and its memory usage has been optimised.
