Teknozip – Intel has unveiled its latest Core Series 3 mobile processor, codenamed Wildcat Lake, targeting budget-conscious consumers and edge computing applications. This new silicon, built on Intel’s 18A process, is poised to power over 70 upcoming laptops from major manufacturers like Acer, Asus, HP, Lenovo, MSI, and Dell.
Positioned as the value-driven counterpart to the previously announced Panther Lake (Core Ultra Series 3), the Core Series 3 is aimed at schools, small businesses, and consumers seeking affordable performance. Beyond laptops, Intel envisions the chip powering edge computing devices such as robotics, point-of-sale systems, and smart meters.

According to Intel, the Core Series 3 boasts significant performance gains compared to older systems. They claim a 47% increase in single-thread performance, up to 41% improvement in multi-thread performance, and a staggering 2.8x boost in GPU AI performance when compared to a five-year-old PC. Further enhancements include a 64% reduction in processor power consumption and a 2.7x increase in AI GPU performance compared to the previous generation Intel Core 7 150U processor.
